in October a new unimont course! Stay tuned…

According to University regulations, the course “Project Management for the mountains: methods and tools” is a post-degree advanced programme conferring an academic title. Already experimented in the previous academic year, the training program focuses on project management skills in order to create experts in funding opportunities for mountain areas, able to support public and private institutions in both the design and implementation phases of complex projects.

The lessons will be in English, with an international approach and a specific spotlight on the cooperation between Alpine countries, taking into account the major policies for sustainable development and priority issues of the Alpine Convention.

In order to enhance ICT opportunities in areas historically affected by the digital divide, the course will be offered in blended learning in order to valorise cooperation at a distance and to minimize travel costs.

The course is compliant with the agreement between the Italian Ministry of Education and the University of Milan (centre of excellence “Mountain University”) and with the AC specific objectives for youth (Task Force New Generation).

The course addresses the gap between the development programs promoted by the European Union and the new CAP. While affected by marginalization and typical fragility (hydrogeological risk, climate change, transport / accessibility of remote areas, demographic changes, etc.) mountain areas are full of relevant opportunities in various sectors (tourism, management of endogenous resources of mountain areas, environmental, social and economic assets of the mountains, protected areas, ecosystem services, etc..) which must be fully considered in the projects.
