It is organized jointly by the main alpine organizations (Alliance in the Alps; Alpine Convention; Interreg Alpine Space Programme; Association Alpine Towns of the Year; CIPRA International; Club Arc Alpin (CAA); ISCAR Alpine Research; Ökomodell Achental) engaged in regional and sustainable development, and is held every four years.
This fourth edition of the AlpWeek “Alps & People” will be held in Grassau, Germany, from 11 to 16 October 2016, and focuses on the manifold aspects of the relationship between the Alps and the people who live, work or recreate there.
To show the variety of approaches available and to discuss sustainable development options, AlpWeek 2016 will be encouraging a broad and diversified dialogue focusing on three main fields of action:
