Dedicated to those who represent a positive example in mountain areas.
The “Silvio Saglio” school of the SEM section of the Italian Alpine Club has promoted the tenth edition of the award in memory of Marcello Meroni, with the consent and support of Marcello’s family, the contribution of the Lombardy Regional School of Mountaineering of the Italian Alpine Club and ARCUS of the University of Milan and with the patronage of the City of Milan and of the Mountain University – Edolo Campus of the University of Milan.
From 2008 to date, many people with a special ethical view of life and of the mountains have received nominations and recognition in the context of the award dedicated to Marcello Meroni. They have now been joined by the 24 candidates of the tenth edition who have been nominated, and among which the jury is called to pick this year’s winners.
The names of the 2017 winners will be presented during the Marcello Meroni Award Ceremony, to be held on Friday 10th November 2017 at 6.30 pm in the Alessi Hall of Palazzo Marino, Piazza della Scala n. 2 – Milan.
