CIME A MILANO – Networks, Research And Innovation for the Mountains, organized by UNIMONT – Edolo Campus of the University of Milan, in partnership with the National Italian Alpine Club and held on 11th and 12th December 2017 at the University of Milan, included a book festival “racCONTA LA MONTAGNA”, dedicated to fiction and non-fiction related to mountains.
“raCONTA LA MONTAGNA” is a UNIMONT project in memory of Alida Bruni, a determined and brilliant colleague of the Mountain University who was passionately interested in literature. “racCONTA LA MONTAGNA” highlights the cultural and evocative “power” of the mountains, organizing meetings dedicated to reading and literature regarding the highlands, where the authors talked about and discussed their books with a working group made up of UNIMONT students.
All meetings were open to the public and admission was free.
The project was presented at CIME A MILANO, as part of the “Reading the Mountains” event promoted by the Alpine Convention to celebrate International Mountain Day, on Monday, 11th December at 7.30 p.m. in the Main Hall of the University of Milan. At the same time the first appointment of the festival was with the author Roberto Casati who presented his book “La lezione del freddo” (published by Einaudi)
