Mountain agriculture at the center of a strategic meeting that looks to the future: Mountain Farming Forum – Perspectives and challenges for 2020 on Wednesday, 13th December in Rome, at the NH Corso d’Italia.
Mountain farming plays a fundamental role in the correct management of the landscape, the conservation of biodiversity, support for the local economy and the fight against abandonment. The Forum aims to be an opportunity for discussion and a place to share proposals for the enhancement and sustainable development of mountain areas.
The Forum is divided into two plenary sessions and three parallel sessions in which privileged experts working towards the development of mountain areas will take part.
Among the experts, Anna Giorgi of UNIMONT, Leader of EUSALP Action Group 1 – Research and Innovation, was invited to take part in the session “The mountains as public goods to enhance and protect: new strategies for sustainable management and to contrast instability phenomena” to bring her views based on experiences and good practices useful for the promotion and development of mountain areas.
