For the 7th edition of Selvatica, the festival dedicated to nature that involves the whole town of Biella until 24th June, Anna Giorgi of the Mountain University – University of Milan has been invited to take part in the conference dedicated to High Schools of the Biella area, to talk about the sustainable and digital development of mountain areas.
The Selvatica festival aims to bring together creativity and research in a series of events that combine art exhibitions with moments for comparing ideas and sharing cultural aspects, dedicated to the enhancement and protection of nature, the environment and territories. The historical actions of Beuys, the Zen brushstrokes of Mårtens, the shots of the Glanzlichter photography competition: the Selvatica festival brings visual arts together with the natural wonders of the Earth.
As regards the development of mountain areas, the UNIMONT experience was chosen as an example since it has been promoting entrepreneurship in the mountains for years, through an open dialogue with the main stakeholders and with the general public. In fact, the Mountain University is a real laboratory of experimentation and innovation, in the heart of the Alps, which aims to train young people enthusiastic about the mountains by disseminating, sharing and capitalizing good ideas and good practices to “do business” in an original and modern way.
