The UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan invites you to enter the photo contest promoted by FAO and Mountain Partnership on the occasion of the International Mountain Day 2022 that will be celebrated on December 11th and will be dedicated to the theme “Women move mountains”.
The photo contest aims to illustrate women’s contribution to environmental protection and social and economic development of mountain areas. Women are often the primary managers of mountain resources, guardians of biodiversity, keepers of traditional knowledge, custodians of local culture and experts in traditional medicine.
International Mountain Day 2022 is an opportunity to raise awareness about the key role played by mountain women and to promote gender equality, contributing to improve social justice, livelihoods and resilience.
We invite you to enter the photo contest to celebrate the role of women in the mountains. The prize for the winner is an action camera – the deadline for the competition is November 25.
