The team of the UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan took part in the kick-off meeting of the Interreg Spazio Alpino TranStat project that took place on 11 and 12 January in Grenoble.
The TranStat project aims to promote climate change adaptation, disaster risk prevention and resilience, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches. During the kick-off meeting the partners discussed the methodology for the identification of sustainable strategies for the mountain areas co-planned with the local population. The project will involve 9 ski resorts in 5 States of the Alpine Region.
The UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan, in collaboration with Regione Lombardia, will involve two pilot territories with the aim of co-designing, together with the local population, possible future strategies for transition and adaptation to climate change.
