The voices of the Master’s Degree MOUNTAINSIDE: from Himalayas to UNIMONT to study the mountains

Gaurav Kumar, a student of the Master’s Degree “Valorization And Sustainable Development Of Mountain Areas” – MOUNTAINSIDE, after studying and working in India in the field of wildlife protection, decided to deepen his knowledge by choosing an international Master’s Degree that would allow him to have direct contact with the mountains.

Gaurav holds a Master’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Studies and has worked as a researcher for the government of Ladakh studying alpine soils, vegetation, and snow leopards regarding climate change. From September he is enrolled in the Master’s Degree MOUNTAINSIDE: “I’ve worked in the Himalayas and I’ve always enjoyed exploring the mountains, which is why I chose to come to the Alps to have an international experience. I really recommend enrolling in this Master’s Degree as it provides hands-on experience in the field and offers several opportunities to understand ecological ecosystems based on all-rounded studies within the mountains.
