UNIMONT, centre of excellence of the University of Milan is General Partner of the “Summer Field School (Hybrid) on Mountain Ecosystems & Resource Management 2023” (FSc MER 2023). The event, organized by the Grassroots Institute (Canada), will take place from 11th to 20th September 2023 in Hungary and will be open to 40 face-to-face participants and more than 1000 online.
The “Summer Field School (Hybrid) on Mountain Ecosystems & Resource Management 2023“, which sees 9 Lead Partners, 27 General Partners and 7 Collaborators, represents an important opportunity for PhD students, researchers, young professionals and teachers to deepen their knowledge about natural resources in mountain areas and the challenges associated with their management.
Indeed, the Summer School brings together international experts, academics and sector professionals in order to share the latest scientific discoveries, best practices and innovation in the field of resource management in mountain ecosystems. The program is divided into sections related to crucial issues such as climate change, biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy and the protection of water resources.
The UNIMONT Centre of the University of Milan is one of the main academic institutions specialized in the study of mountains and its role as General Partner of this Summer School represents an important recognition of its commitment to promoting and enhancing the sustainable development of mountain areas.
