Take part by sending your photos that tell the story of climate change and how mountain areas are adapting, to the photo contest launched by UNIMONT, the Alpine hub of the University of Milan, by 15th September, 2024.
The photography competition ‘Climate Goals: Images of Adaptation to Climate Change in the Mountains’, promoted by UNIMONT, the Alpine hub of the University of Milan, in the context of ‘Action for Climate‘, an annual event organized by RUS – Rete delle Università per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile and the Italian Alpine Club, aims to raise awareness on this topic and to highlight the natural and human adaptation strategies that can be implemented.
For this reason, we invite photographers, both professionals and amateurs, to share images that highlight adaptation, of natural or artificial origin, that is taking place due to climate change with the aim of telling proactive stories that promote awareness and practical actions for the mountain areas.
The thirteen best photographs will be included in the 2025 edition of the UNIMONT calendar. Among the thirteen photos selected, a special commission will select the 3 most representative ones and award them a prize.
‘Climate Goals: Images of Adaptation to Climate Change in the Mountains’ is created in collaboration with the Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore Meneghini of Edolo, the Val.Te.Mo. Association and the Trento Science Museum – Muse.
