FAO, UN agency dedicated to food and agriculture, invites young people and institutions to propose innovative projects for a sustainable future in mountain areas by applying for the Mountain Future Award 2024.
UNIMONT, University of Milan alpine hub, reports an important opportunity for those involved in the sustainable development of mountain regions. On the occasion of International Mountain Day 2024, the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) invites individuals and institutions to submit transformative projects to apply for the Mountain Future Award 2024.
Projects should focus on innovation, climate adaptation and youth engagement, proposing innovative solutions to improve the resilience of mountain communities and conserve mountain ecosystems. Selected proposals will receive not only international recognition, but also an initial funding of $5,000, as well as project start-up assistance.
The deadline for project submission is 30 October 2024.
