The National Forum on Energy and Sustainability “Duezerocinquezero” in Padua, now in its fourth edition, is ready to reignite debate on the strategies and actions needed to achieve the goal of zero emissions by 2050. For three days, institutional and business representatives, academics, professionals and associations will discuss crucial issues such as sustainability in the healthcare sector through digitalization and energy efficiency, new issues in the post-reform electricity market and the progress of renewable energy. Space will also be given to green finance and industrial policies for the valorization of natural resources in Europe. The importance of sustainable design and energy efficiency for achieving energy and ecological transition objectives will also be discussed.

Participants in the Forum include, on 2nd April from 10:00 to 11:30, Prof. Anna Giorgi, head of the UNIMONT hub of the University of Milan, invited to take part in the round table “The challenge of climate adaptation”, moderated by Maurizio Melis of Radio 24, together with leading experts including Francesco Musco (IUAV University of Venice), Carlo Andriolo (General Director AcegasApsAmga), Gigi Lazzaro (President Legambiente Veneto) and Stefano Bonaccini (MEP).

The round table will focus on the importance of sustainable design and climate change adaptation strategies, addressing the challenges related to the competitiveness of businesses and public administrations in the context of the ecological transition, with a focus on innovative solutions for the management of natural resources and the resilience of territories.

As part of the debate, Prof. Giorgi will present current UNIMONT projects centred on these issues, including the Horizon Europe MountResilience project, which has developed an online tool dedicated to climate change adaptation, collecting over 400 nature-based solutions to support the planning and implementation of resilience strategies in mountain territories.
