The Alpine Convention invites all relevant stakeholders from administrations, associations and the civil society to the Conference on Alpine Spatial Development.
It will be held on 28 and 29 January 2016 in Munich (Conference Languages are German, French, Italian, Slovenian).
The conference will be organized in the course of the German Presidency of the Alpine Convention (2015-2016) by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in cooperation with the ministries responsible for spatial planning of the Contracting Parties of the Alpine Convention.
The conference will identify and discuss the challenges and future key aspects of main topics regarding spatial planning and spatial development in the Alps.
The outcome of the discussion will be included in a ministerial declaration to be drawn up. The ministerial declaration aims at contributing to an effective implementation of the “Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development” Protocol of the Alpine Convention against the backdrop of new challenges and changed policy frameworks.
The stakeholder conference will also promote the exchange of experience between important spatial development stakeholders from the eight Contracting Parties of the Alpine Convention.
