Anna Giorgi, Professor of Environmental and Applied Botany at the University of Milan, director of the Ge.S.Di.Mont Research Centre of UNIMONT and leader of the action group 1 – research and innovation – of the European Strategy of the Alpine Region (EUSALP), was nominated in the working group of the General Directorate of the Ministry of University and Research, to support the definition of the National Program of the Research 2021-2027.
The National Research Program (PNR) will guide research policy in Italy in the upcoming years, highlighting its priorities, objectives and actions and identifying national guidelines.
Professor Giorgi is part of the team of experts for the sector “Sustainable Technologies, Agri-food, Natural and Environmental Resources” and in particular of the sub-area “Management of agricultural resources”. Among the topics addressed, therefore, there will also be the enhancement of marginal areas, inland areas and mountain areas. Unique territories that can express their potential thanks to the innovation that only research can generate.
