The UN established the International Day of Mountains from the date of 11 December 2003 in order to remember the importance of mountain regions in the world, in order to reach sustainable development, environmental and mountains inhabitants protection.
The President of CAI have extended the invitation to celebrate the Day of Mountains to all sections of the Society.
Twentyeight sections replied to this invitation, proposing a series of initiatives throughout Italy.
