It is now published the Issue 8/1 (january 2016) eco.mont, which offers a well-balanced range of research articles and reports on management and policy issues from protected mountain areas in the Alps, Romania, Turkey, China and Africa. The articles of this issue deal with human perceptions on landscapes, indigenous ecological knowledge, conservation conflicts, backpacker tourism, effects of climate change, local development and scientific councils, thus mirroring the wide variety of impacts people have on protected areas.
eco.mont – Journal on Protected Mountain Areas Research and Management publishes peer-reviewed articles on research within protected mountain areas and its potential interest for protected area management. Each issue also includes reports on management issues and showcases one protected area (The editors and the editorial board of eco.mont make up the ISCAR Working Group Protected Area Research (ISCAR-P)).
eco.mont is looking for appreciate scientific articles (peer-reviewed) as well as management reports (reviewed by the editors) coming from Italy. The deadline for submitting articles for the issue 8/2, June 2016 would be the beginning of February.
eco.mont only accepts previously unpublished articles (including on the internet). Manuscripts submitted for publication are blind peer-reviewed by a member of the Editorial Board (to guarantee the mission of the journal and the scientific quality) and independently by a peer (to guarantee the scientific quality).
