The stories of heroic viticulture, those who make it a daily challenge, the territories that welcome sacrifice and innovation, but also prospects for the future and commitment of institutions: the meeting in Valle Camonica was an opportunity for sharing ideas, discussion and new impetus for the future.
Promoted by Cervim (Center for Research, Studies, Safeguarding, Coordination and Enhancement of Mountain Viticulture) by Ersaf and the Lombardy Region in collaboration with the Consorzio Vini Igt Valcamonica and the Comunità Montana, the conference that took place at the Boario Congress Center Terme at the end of April was a necessary and appropriate meeting with the world of mountain viticulture. The meeting was moderated by Roberto Gaudio of Cervim who welcomed: the president of the CTS of Cervim Diego Tomasi, the university professors Lucio Brancadoro and Marco de Vecchi, experts in the sector and the agronomist Ivan Elfi, who talked not only about heroic viticulture, but also about the enhancement, ethics and aesthetics of wine. The following round table was dedicated to stories of viticulture and sacrifice and passion, but also to opportunities concerning heroic viticulture, through the voices of experts and institutions, such as Filippo Gallinella, president of the Agriculture Commission in the Chamber, Fabio Rolfi, councilor for Agriculture of the Lombardy Region, Alessandro Fede Pellone, president of Ersaf, Stefano Celi , president of Cervim, Anna Giorgi professor of Unimont – Centre of the University of Milan, Tino Tedeschi, president of the Consorzio Vini Igt Valcamonica and online Senator Gianmarco Centinaio. A fundamental opportunity, therefore, to discuss news in the regulatory and institutional fields, but above all the future opportunities that national and regional bodies and institutions are willing to promote to support this most difficult and demanding sector of wine production (for geographical location, type of land and microclimates, etc.) which is for this reason called “heroic”. And many future appointments are planned, involving the bodies and institutions present, willing to collaborate and interact to continue together in academic, scientific, associational and institutional spheres, in a path of mutual support and shared enhancement.
