The course intends to continue the reflection begun together with the local community for an increasingly articulated and extended “enhancement of the mountains”.
Launched in the first edition in 2017/2018, it is organized by the Municipality of Bormio that has led to an organic project – which now continues – elaborated by Maria Chiara Cattaneo in the context of the activities of the Società Economica Valtellinese. A first itinerary towards “quality development” took place between September 2017 and June 2018 and continues now with further details. The recipients are not only the citizens/operators of Bormio and immediate area, but also the whole Valtellina community and those interested beyond. Particular attention is paid to young people and students, real protagonists of the future.
The great changes that characterize contemporary scenarios have led to reflect on the dichotomy between identity and innovation, to rediscover basic values and welcome a logic of open innovation and networking, overcoming any fragmentation and enhancing the specific potential of the territory that is still unexpressed. In this way the strong identity values that characterize community and territory can be identified and are projected towards the future to work together. Operating on the theme of the development of a favorable environment for innovation in the conjugation of innovation and sustainability is planned. The themes of innovative entrepreneurship, sustainability and circular economy, support for start-ups in the Alpine area, the value of operating as part of a network, especially in contexts that are further from the big metropolitan centers, new forms of tourism, social changes, will be tackled. and innovations applied to the new needs of the communities.
