SYNTHESIS WORKSHOP ON BIOSECURITY IN MOUNTAINS BY MIREN
1-3 June 2015, Flen, Sweden
The aim of this workshop is to explore future invasion risks of a range of organisms in cold environments by compiling existing data and expertise from different regions around the world. We will also synthesise management experiences from regions in addressing emerging invasion risks and interact with conservation managers during the workshop.

The Togo Mountains are a mountain range which stretch across the central region of the West African country of Togo and across the eastern and western borders of that country into Ghana and Benin. Where the mountain range reaches into Benin where it is known as the Atakora Mountains and Ghana the range is known as the Akwapim Hills. The highest mountain in Togo is Mount Agou with a height of 986 metres (3 235 ft).

UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA IS DEVELOPING A NEW MOOC ON MOUNTAINS
The University of Alberta is developing a new MOOC Massive Open Online Course to be launched in 2016. They are also putting together a Certificate program in Interdesciplinary Mountain Studies. A key part of that is both field and international (study abroad) experiences (movie).
