Plant agrobiodiversity mapping

This section of the site is dedicated to the national census of all the cultivated agricultural varieties that make up Italian agrobiodiversity. A project carried out by the CrC Ge.S.Di.Mont.

The term agricultural biodiversity or agrobiodiversity indicates all the genetic heritage related to agro-food in a given territorial area.

The knowledge of Italian plant agrobiodiversity is useful for its protection and conservation but also for relaunching unique and high quality agro-food chains.
