The launch event of the Macroregional Strategy for the Alpine area (Eusalp), an European initiative that will have an impact on a central and strategic area of Europe, populated by more than 70 million citizens, will be held in Brdo pri Kranju, near Ljubljana, on 25th and 26th January 2016.
Lombardy will be the coordinator of the Working Group of Eusalp Italian Regions and the leader of Eusalp Action Group 1, which deals with research and innovation. The concrete goal is to promote the ‘Development of effective collaboration and synergy among research and innovation centers of the Alpine area’. This activity is part of the first pillar of the “Economic Development” Strategy of the alpine area and will be coordinated by Anna Giorgi, Mountain University lecturer and expert on alpine issues.
