The final conference of the LIFE PastorAlp project “GLOBAL CHALLENGES IN MOUNTAIN AGROPASTORAL SYSTEMS – Scientific evidence on impacts, adaptation and policies” will take place from 15th to 17th March 2023 at Forte di Bard in Valle d’Aosta.

The final conference of the LIFE PastorAlp project “GLOBAL CHALLENGES IN MOUNTAIN AGROPASTORAL SYSTEMS – Scientific evidence on impacts , adaptation and policies will take place from 15th to 17th March 2023 at Forte di Bard in Valle d’Aosta: the first day of the conference will be an opportunity for discussion dedicated to policymakers, stakeholders and the general public; the second day will include a more scientific approach; the third will encourage networking between projects.

The conference aims to bring together researchers, policy makers, agricultural and related technicians, farmers and students to share and discuss current and emerging issues related to global climate change in mountain agro-pastoral systems. The debate on these issues, hosted in the heart of the Alps, will be encouraged by experiences from all over Europe and from mountain environments and will give rise to new ideas and proposals to be disseminated and shared globally.

The scientific conference will deal with the challenges and opportunities for the mapping and modeling of agro-pastoral systems, the analysis of the impacts of climate change, adaptation and mitigation and the issue of governance in the context of global change (science & policy interface).

The deadline for sending abstracts is 20th January, 2023.
