The two evenings of wine tasting with IGT Valcamonica, organized as part of the Project Val.so.Vi.ca. – Enhancement of Sustainable Viticulture in Valle Camonica, have been a great success.
The first tasting evening was held on October 28, 2022, at Villa Galnica in Puegnago del Garda, in collaboration with ONAV Brescia; the second evening took place on 8 November 2022 at the Westin Palace Hotel in Piazza Repubblica in Milan and was organized in collaboration with AIS Milano.
During the tastings, Prof. Lucio Brancadoro, project manager, and researchers of the University of Milan – Department of Arboreal Cultivation presented the first results of the project Val.so.Vi.ca. (Sustainable Development of Vallecamonica Viticulture).
In both evenings were tasted Merlot base wines for reds and Incrocio Manzoni for whites. Moreover they tasted wines obtained 100% from Rhine Riesling. Both evenings were attended by representatives of the Consorzio Vini IGT Valcamonica, the Comunità Montana di Vallecamonica and some producers. In addition, it was possible, thanks to the collaboration with the Consorzio Silter DOP, to taste three different, for age and production season, Silter, reaffirming, once again, how this particular cheese goes perfectly with Camuni wines.
