UNIMONT is the University of Milan Centre, located in Edolo, in the province of Brescia, in the heart of the Central Alps, specialized in promoting the development of mountain areas.

The Campus includes a research center, CRC Ge.S.Di.Mont., and an education center, which hosts training activities dedicated to the sustainable development of mountain areas:

• he Bachelor’s Degree Course in Development and Protection of the Mountain Environment (class L-25) prepares graduates with good basic knowledge in the main sectors of agricultural and forestry sciences, with particular reference to mountain environments.

• Master’s Degree Course in Valorization and Sustainable Development of Mountain Areas (class LM-73), taught in English, aims to train professionals capable of promoting the sustainable development and management of the mountain territory.

•  First Level Specialising Master in Project Management for Mountain areas, organized in collaboration with the Regional Affairs and Autonomy Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, provides skills necessary for the management of European funding and projects relating to support measures for Italian mountain areas.

The training activities take place entirely in Edolo, a small mountain town in the heart of the central Alps; this strategic position significantly contributes to the acquisition of concrete and direct knowledge and awareness of the environmental complexity of mountain areas.

UNIMONT’s lecture halls are spacious and equipped with the main video-conferencing equipment. There is a computer laboratory, a library stocked with numerous textbooks and scientific journals and a study room. The research center hosts new computerized classrooms and chemistry/biology laboratories for teaching and research.
