We offer a thesis opportunity on assessing and modelling the impact of management alternatives on key forest ecosystem services at landscape scale on Apennines (Municipal forest of Berceto, Parma province, Emilia Romagna), including timber, carbon stock / sink – regulation of climate, proxies for structural complexity). Main activities (not limited to): field surveys, data elaboration, model parameterization, remote sensing applications (e.g. identification of management system), model runs.
Starting date: March-April 2024.
